Gympie Goldfields Map

This is a reproduction of a rare print called Gympie Goldfields, North Phoenix, Vertical Section, West Reef, from between 1868-1898.

The Phoenix Mine is a (now abandoned) gold, silver and lead mine off the Bruce Highway in South East Queensland, Australia situated about 140km North West of Brisbane; and 2.4km from the town of Gympie. The mine is at an elevation of approximately 48 metres above sea level, on the Phoenix Mine is on the Mary River.
