The Graphic Magazine was a British weekly illustrated newspaper first published on Dec 4  in 1869 by William Luxton Thomas,s Company Illustrated Newspapers Ltd. His brother, Lewis Samuel Thomas was a co-founder. The premature death of Lewis left a big gap in the management of the newspaper. It was set up to rival the popular " Illustrated London News."

The Graphic continued to be published under this title till April 1932, then The National Geographic between April and July. From 1890 to 1926 Luson Thomas,s Company, H R Baines and Co, published The Daily Graphic
